
Serial production of the new Russian Sollers van has started
The Sollers company is bringing a new commercial van to the market – the SF1 model. Its serial production has already started at the plant in Yelabuga. The manufacturer assures that there are no complete analogues in Russia. The only competitor is LADA Largus, but this car another class. Sollers SF1 is almost a full-fledged commercial van.
The new model has a load capacity of 800 kg. So far, there is only one version on the conveyor – an all-metal commercial van. This is a complete copy of the Chinese JAC Refine M3. The Sollers management does not hide this fact. The cars are simply assembled in Yelabuga. But they plan to start localization in the near future.
The dimensions of the Sollers SF1 are just right for a city van. The length and width of the car are 5,1 and 1,9 meters, respectively. Under the hood of the model is a turbocharged gasoline engine with a volume of 1,5 liters, developing 136 hp.

Why not diesel? Firstly, the engine is already economical, secondly, such a power unit is enough for a load capacity of 800 kg. Thirdly, it is still more pleasant to work in the city on gasoline cars.
The engine is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. There are no other options, either for the power unit or the gearbox. They tried to simplify and reduce the cost of the van as much as possible to make it affordable. By the way, the price is already known - it will start at 1,99 million rubles.
Experts believe that Sollers SF1 will definitely find its own niche on the Russian market. The fact is that there are no such light vans there. First come the commercial LADA models, and immediately after them come the Sobols, Gazelles and other "classmates". If the cargo cannot be transported on a conventional Largus, you have to take something more serious.

The use of Sollers SF1 will reduce the prices for cargo transportation both for customers and for the owners of such vehicles. And in megacities, light and maneuverable vans are preferable for the same delivery trade.
By the way, AVTOVAZ is also preparing its own model of a similar class – this is SKM. Sollers managed to overtake its competitor. In order to gain a foothold in this niche and take new positions there, the manufacturer promises to diversify the SF1 line with passenger and cargo-passenger cars for 7 and 5 seats, respectively. By the way, such cars are not produced in China – this will be its own development.
