LiAZ-677: difficult restoration after 25 years of inactivity

Almost half a century after the legendary LiAZ-677 of 1976 was released, the author of a video on the YouTube channel "Bus Workshop VegaBus" decides to breathe new life into it. At the very beginning, we are greeted by a sad picture: bus won't start, the ignition system is "capricious", and the body is completely soaked with traces of putty and even cement. There is a complete lack of oil under the hood, the gears are knocked out, and even the push by tractor does not give any result in an attempt to start the car. But this is only a preface to a large project: a large-scale restoration begins with an ambitious goal - to return the bus to its original appearance, as it came off the assembly line in 1976. The seats are removed, the handicraft elements are "weeded out", the first disassemblies are carried out.

There's more to come: transporting the engine, assessing the roof, checking the welds, working on the subframe, steering column, gas tank, engine and battery compartments. The process is carried out with the utmost attention to detail, because every original solution from the 70s must be preserved in its original form. But enough spoilers!
