Two new pickups and an SUV on a Nissan chassis will officially appear in Russia
Oting brand dealers have announced the expansion of their model range in our country. Two new pickups and one full-size SUV will appear in Russia. Their main advantage is that the vehicles are based on the Nissan chassis and are produced on the same basis as these by cars factory and even conveyor.
The Oting brand belongs to the Chinese concern Sinomach Auto. In the Celestial Empire, they have a large joint plant with Nissan for the production of pickups and SUVs. The cars assembled there are sold under the Dongfeng brand. In China, they are positioned as budget versions of Nissan.
So far, Oting's press service has only declassified two pickups. They are undergoing certification and receiving permits. The official premiere of the vehicles will take place in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Despite the sharp decline in sales of new Chinese cars in Russia, pickups were not affected by the "disaster". This is a fairly narrow niche, because such models are not often bought in our country. But those who need a station wagon that allows transporting construction equipment or materials in the back still choose a pickup.
Oting models are good not only for work. After all, they are distinguished by a fairly rich configuration for their class, and they look impressive and brutal. Especially considering that Russian drivers have loved SUVs since the 1990s.
The first pickup truck to appear in Russia is the Oting Rich 7. It is not a new product, because the vehicle is officially sold here only as the Dongfeng Rich 7. Representatives of the Chinese brand in Russia claim that the Oting Rich 7 has been specially modified for use in our conditions. They promise to tell what exactly has changed in it during the official presentation.

In short, Oting Rich 7 is a Chinese analogue of Nissan Navara, built on the same chassis. Only the appearance of the pickup from the Middle Kingdom is more modern, stylish and aggressive. In general, everything our drivers like. The engines will be both petrol and diesel.
The next pickup is the Oting Z9. In China, it is sold under the Dongfeng brand with the same name. Externally, it is a more futuristic model than the Rich 7, its ground clearance is higher, and the level of equipment is also impressive. They promise a digital instrument panel and a set of driver assistance systems.
But the most interesting thing is the new single-volume SUV, the appearance of which is still kept secret. This car is based on the latest generation Nissan Patrol. It will officially appear in Russia in 2026.
