
"Designer Egorov" set out on its maiden voyage
The first dry cargo ship of the RSD71 project, named "Constructor Egorov", successfully set out on its maiden voyage.
The ship, assembled at the Okskaya Shipyard by order of the Volga Shipping Company, became the flagship of a new series of multifunctional cargo ships that can sail on rivers and seas with equal success.
The hull was laid on October 21, 2021, and the launching ceremony took place exactly two years later.

After successful sea trials and receipt of all necessary permits, the vessel was handed over to the customer and set off on its first commercial voyage.
The vessel received a deadweight of 7170 tons in sea navigation and 4380 tons when moving along inland waterways.
These characteristics make it one of the most suitable cargo ships for complex routes where regular changes of water area are required.
The RSD71 is fully Tier III compliant, meaning it delivers significantly reduced nitrogen oxide emissions.
The vessel is equipped with a modern automated control system, which requires less human intervention. This increases operational safety and reduces the workload of the crew.
"Constructor Egorov" has one hold with a volume of 9063 cubic meters. It is designed to transport a wide range of cargo, including grain, metal and scrap, large-sized structures, long products, coal and hazardous cargo.
The maximum length of the vessel is 119,96 m, the width is 16,98 m, and the height of the side is 6 m. The draft when sailing at sea reaches 4,9 m, and when moving along the river - 3,6 m.

The ship's autonomy is calculated for 20 days, and the crew consists of 11 people with the possibility of accommodating another 14 people and a pilot. The maximum speed at full power of the main engines reaches 11 knots (20 km/h).
The management of the company that ordered the ship announced plans to build up to 20 dry cargo ships of the RSD71 project. This will significantly update the company's fleet and increase its competitiveness.
"Constructor Egorov" became the first representative of this series and has already confirmed its readiness for operation in the most difficult navigation conditions.
