GAC officially presented three new models in Russia

GAC is launching two new crossovers and one sedan. Cars have been officially presented to the public, and the prices are already known.


The most important new product is the GAC GS4. This is a mid-size family crossover that will compete in Russia with the Geely Atlas. At the start of sales, the model will be offered in one configuration. They will ask for almost 3 million rubles for it.

Under the hood of the crossover there will be only one, non-alternative engine. This is a turbo petrol power unit with a volume of 1,5 liters, developing 170 hp. GAC GS4 will be in a mono-drive version. The gearbox is a seven-speed "robot".


The package is promised to be rich. It includes all-round visibility, a number of assistants for parking and in traffic jams.

The second car presented at the presentation is GAC Empow. This is the first sedan from this Chinese brand in our country. The main competitor of the model is called Geely Emgrand.

The car will be offered in two versions – the basic GS and GL. The latter is considered sporty and has an aggressive body kit. It is already known when the sales of the sedan will start – March 24. They promise to announce the prices at the same time. Naturally, the GL modification will be more expensive.

Under the hood of the GAC Empow, regardless of the version, there will be an uncontested power unit. This is the same turbo petrol engine as the GAC GS4 crossover. With a volume of 1,5 liters, it produces 170 hp.

The engine will be paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox. The car has only front-wheel drive. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes just 6,95 seconds. Average fuel consumption is declared at 6 liters. This means that in the city it is quite possible to keep within 10.
Among the interesting options, the GAC Empow has a leather interior, dual-zone climate control and heated seats for all seats.


The most expensive in the new line will be the GAC GS8 GX Traveller crossover. The car is suitable for large families who love to travel. The cost of the modification is already known - 4,65 million rubles.

The crossover is all-wheel drive. Under the hood is a turbocharged two-liter gasoline engine, developing a power of 231 hp. The power unit will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which is the only option.

Externally, the GX Traveller differs from the regular GS8 with its signature off-road body kit. It has its own bumpers, new R20 alloy wheels and a large luggage box at the rear.
