Rostec Presents Unique System for Light Aviation

The International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies "Archimedes" has started in the capital. The event will last two days and among the first exhibits the attention is drawn to the exhibition of "Rostec".

The largest state corporation brought a compact information and landing system (IPS). The design of the advanced device was carried out by the High-Precision Complexes division. In particular, the development was carried out within the walls of the Central Research Institute of Automation and Hydraulics.

The technology is designed to increase the level of safety during landing. aircraft и helicopters segment of light aviation on unprepared sites. The device is already successfully undergoing air tests and is capable of performing functions in adverse weather conditions.

The presented IPS consists of two main modules. These include the following:

✅ ground
✅ onboard

The Rostec press center points to remote regions of Russia as locations for using the new technology. In such geographic zones, as a rule, there is no developed aviation infrastructure due to the terrain or climate factors. With the help of the development of "High-Precision Complexes", pilots have the opportunity to safely land on unequipped airfields and even drifting ice floes.

The technology has undergone a certification test cycle, which included both laboratory and bench tests and flight tests. During the development and modernization of the IPS design, over 100 flights were conducted. Tests of the technology are ongoing, engineers are making adjustments and improving the characteristics of the device.

As part of the Archimedes salon, the Rostec enterprise will also demonstrate other developments in the field of aviation, power plants, and optics. For example, the United Engine Corporation (UEC) will present a virtual reality simulator.

The project is called "Viartikum D-30". The software platform is planned to be used to study complex technical units and structures in a virtual environment.

The technology will be especially useful for students of universities and technical schools who plan to build a career in the field of engine building. The key advantage of the VR simulator is its flexible architecture, which allows changing the digital environment to suit various industrial sectors.
