Dongfeng Trucks has prepared a new dump truck for the Belarusian market – we are waiting for it in Russia

Dongfeng has announced the launch of sales of a new large dump truck – the KC New 8×4 model in the 22M version. This car specially developed for the Belarusian market. When creating, the peculiarities of local legislation and operation were taken into account.


In Belarus, only vehicles with a total weight of up to 47 tons are allowed to move on public roads. If they are heavier, special documents will have to be issued. Therefore, the tare weight of the Dongfeng KC New 8×4 22M is only 17 tons.

But the dump truck is capable of carrying 30 tons - it fits the standards, and these are honest figures, they can be checked on the scales, and not only in the technical documentation. After all, it is no secret that Chinese manufacturers often deliberately understate the load capacity.


Pickups are especially guilty of this. The latter are being tried in every possible way to “squeeze” into the passenger car category. And Chinese brands can be understood. Firstly, these cars are not in great demand here anyway. Secondly, if they turn out to be by trucks, they will stop buying them altogether.

In addition to reducing its own weight to 17 tons, Dongfeng KC New 8×4 22M has a number of other improvements. For example, the frame received additional anti-corrosion treatment, as did the dump platform. Thanks to the use of special paint and varnish compositions, the enamel holds tightly and does not fall off even from strong impacts.

To make the driver more comfortable, the manufacturer added wheel arch protection. The engine compartment received a special shield at the bottom, protecting the oil pan from stones and snags. A powerful autonomous heater appeared inside, allowing operation at extremely low outside temperatures.

The Dongfeng KC New 8×4 22M dump truck cabin was developed by Volvo Trucks specialists. The Chinese honestly bought a license for its production. The cabin is installed on four air cushions, which provides the driver with comfort when moving on uneven terrain.


In the basic configuration, the dump truck is equipped with climate control, a multimedia system, electric windows and an equipped sleeping area where you can rest.

All Dongfeng KC series New recently officially tested in conditions as close to real as possible. For this purpose, a batch of cars were sent to an active quarry, where they demonstrated their capabilities to reporters and potential buyers.

They are asking for 440 thousand Belarusian rubles (12,17 million Russian rubles) for the truck. It is quite possible that the model will soon officially appear in our country.
