They don’t take “Chinese” anymore – when can we expect “normal” brands?

Recently, there have been more and more news about one or another car brand planning to return to the Russian market. For example, Hyundai was one of the first to talk about it, then there was information about Renault, Toyota and others. Some, especially calculating ones, even took an intermediate position. Take the same Suzuki - they did not officially leave, but they do not "shout" about their presence either. At the same time, reports of a decrease in sales are becoming more frequent cars Chinese production. While giants like Geely are staying afloat, some others are already being officially abandoned in Russia. One of the largest car dealers, Rolf, announced at the end of January that it was no longer going to sell Kaiyi and BAIC due to the mediocre quality of their products.

One might assume that these two events are somehow interconnected, but no, the chronology does not allow it. Sales of the "Chinese" began to decline long before the peculiar "warming". The showrooms of the same hard-to-pronounce Kaiyi began to close almost a year ago, when there was no hint of the return of any of the departed brands. What then caused the current situation and should we expect an official Toyota "as before", without dealer markups for "parallel import"? The owner of the car dealership shared his opinion on this matter in a video on the YouTube channel "Lisa Rulit".
