UTS-800 to be shown abroad for the first time

Ural Civil Aviation Plant to Present at IDEX 2025 aircraft UTS-800. This event will be held in Abu Dhabi from February 17 to 21.

It was decided to present the UTS-800 as a model. The latter can be seen at the stand of the Russian exposition. This was officially reported by the press service of UZGA.

The UTS-800 is primarily intended for training cadets. This is what it was developed for. But the winged machine is quite universal. If potential clients want, it can be modified and adapted to suit their tasks.

The capabilities of the UTS-800 allow not only to teach cadets to fly. This aircraft can perform such complex elements as a spin and work in groups.

The UTS-800 is designed for two people. The student is seated in the front, and his instructor is in the back. Each person has a separate cabin. It is possible for one person to pilot the aircraft. No weights for centering need to be installed in the second cabin.

The UTS-800 has a full range of safety systems, despite its class. The aircraft seats are equipped with ejection devices. To ensure that the pilots feel normal, several systems are provided - air conditioning and oxygen. Just in case, there are even anti-G suits.

The training model is designed for operation in temperature ranges from -30 to +45 degrees Celsius. The aircraft is capable of climbing to a height of 6 kilometers, while developing a speed of up to 460 km/h. The fuel reserves are sufficient for a flight range of 1 km.

Understanding that such compact models should be universal, UZGA engineers have provided for takeoff and landing features. Not only artificial surfaces will be suitable for the aircraft. Unpaved airfields will be enough for it.

Instrument displays provide the UTS-800 pilot with all the necessary information. The latest composite materials were used in the creation of the glider. Due to this, the manufacturer achieved an increase in service life.

At the end of 2024, two experimental UTS-800s were transferred to the Ministry of Defense for flight tests. Therefore, serial production of the model is just around the corner. Moreover, it has already been decided to show the aircraft at the IDEX 2025 exhibition in order to attract potential customers.

There is just one problem – the engine. According to production plans, the UTS-800 will be equipped with domestic VK-800 engines. These same power units are intended for the LMS-901 Baikal. But for now, the engines are only being prepared for serial production.
Do you think the UTS-800 aircraft will become a production aircraft?
