It has become known when the first serial electric Ferrari will appear
The first electric car from the world-famous Italian brand Ferrari will soon go into production. The head of the company said that car will be officially presented to the public on October 9 of this year. This will happen at the Capital Markets Day.
Ferrari management emphasizes that the brand is not going to abandon gasoline and hybrid cars in the near future. The first electric car should be considered only as an addition and expansion of the production line. Its task is to give the opportunity to buy supercars to those who care about the environment.
In 2025, Ferrari will have many interesting models in general. In total, they promise six new and upgraded cars. Among them will be the SF90, Roma and a special version of the Ferrari 296.

As for the new electric car, it is still kept secret. It has even come to the point that this car is undergoing road tests in the form of a "mule". That is, bodies from serial models are installed on the new chassis. The electric car, according to the brand's management, has already traveled more than one thousand kilometers on Italian roads.
It is known that the car will look like the brand's mid-engine models. Its main battery pack is located behind the seats. Three additional batteries are built into the front part of the body - under the floor.
A new plant was built specifically for the electric car. It is located in Maranello, on the territory of the Ferrari production complex.
It is known that engines for electric cars will be produced at the new plant. By the way, it is already open and is called E-Building. But the company plans to only assemble running batteries.
There is information that they want to purchase batteries from a third-party supplier. It is possible that the elements will be modified, because Ferrari has its own electrochemical laboratory called E-Cells.

The driving batteries will be innovative. Ferrari management has already announced that it will abandon lithium-iron-phosphate cells. They are too heavy and cannot provide the supercar with a large driving range on a single charge.
It is not yet known how much the electric Ferrari will cost. At one time, there were rumors that the car would cost from 500 to 600 thousand euros (from 51,3 million rubles). But the company's management said that they would announce the price a month before the model enters the market.
By the way, Ferrari is the only luxury brand that has not postponed the debut of the electric car to a later date. The rest, like Lamborghini and Aston Martin, have decided to hold off for now.
