Advanced technologies have appeared in the Minsk metro
As part of the project on traffic automation Train The TMH Intelligent Systems company has introduced the latest microprocessor equipment into the Minsk metro.
The technology is already being used at three new stations on the Zelenoluzhskaya line: Slutskiy Gostinets, Nemorshanskiy Sad, and Aerodromnaya. They began accepting passengers on December 30, 2024.
The introduction of technologies has made it possible not only to improve traffic safety, but also to optimize train operations, reduce operating costs and minimize the impact of the human factor.

The new equipment provides full control over the movement of trains and the operation of the infrastructure. Its functionality includes control of switches and traffic lights, monitoring the position of trains, and checking the integrity of the track.
The system takes over the automatic synchronization of trains and platforms. Thanks to this, it was possible to achieve a minimum error when stopping a train opposite the platform doors - no more than 25 cm.
In 2024, the Metrovagonmash plant delivered 28 new carriages to the Minsk Metro. They were used to form 7 four-car trains of the Minsk-2024 series, which are equipped with an innovative automatic control system.
New technologies make it possible to regulate the speed of the train, select the direction of door opening depending on the station configuration, and also turn the train around at the final station.
These functions reduce the workload of train drivers, improve the accuracy of schedule compliance and reduce wear and tear on rolling stock.
One of the key advantages of the implemented technologies is the ability to operate trains in an energy-efficient mode. The automatic control system selects the most economical movement option, reducing energy consumption by 10-15%.

Thanks to precise coordination between the train and the platform, the capacity of the line increases. In conditions of increasing passenger flow, this is especially important - the intervals between trains are reduced, and the waiting time at the station is reduced.
TMH Intelligent Systems continues to develop and implement advanced solutions for railway and urban Transport.
The experience of Minsk confirms that automated technologies not only increase safety, but also improve the quality of passenger transportation.
