Road tests of Russian electric cars "Atom" have started

Russian electric cars "Atom" have begun testing on city streets. These are full-fledged road tests in real conditions. Cars have already been spotted in Moscow several times. They have not yet been seen outside the city.


Apparently, pre-production cars are being tested. They drive without camouflage, which means that this is the form in which the electric cars will go to the conveyor. Only the pilot batch was assembled bypassing the latter. After all, the conveyor has not yet been set up.

But, in order not to waste time, it was decided to assemble several cars for full-scale tests. And then, you see, the conveyor will start working. The manufacturer has already warned about the start of the program. Judging by the cars seen in Moscow, some drivers and pedestrians can observe the stage called "travel in traffic flow".


It is already known that the first to go on the conveyor will be the mono-drive electric cars "Atom". Accordingly, they will receive one engine located on the rear axle. What power it will have is still unknown. But the manufacturer said that the car will accelerate to the first "hundred" in 8 seconds.

As for the power reserve, it is promised at the level of 500 km. In what mode exactly - was not specified. But it is necessary to understand that the energy consumption of electric cars is not the same as that of gasoline models. In the city mode, the "Atom" will be more economical than on the highway. After all, no one has canceled recuperation, and there is more braking in the conditions of a megalopolis.

Later, 4x4 versions – dual-motor ones – will be added to the rear-wheel drive electric cars. A whole range of modifications in commercial performance on this chassis are also promised.

Serial production of the Atoms, according to the latest data received, will start in mid-2025. The car has not even been certified yet, but all this is in the process.

The approximate cost of the domestic model is also known. It will definitely not be affordable - the amount announced is around 4 million rubles.


It became known what changes the "Atom" underwent during the process of setting up serial production. The car was externally modified - a new spoiler, radiator grille, wheel arches and even rear-view mirrors were installed. Now the appearance of the Russian model has become even more sporty and fast.

All doors of the Atom are equipped with an electric drive. This means that they can be opened with a button. There are retractable handles in the front.

All that remains is to wait for the start of serial production.
