A road bridge will be built between Russia and the DPRK – drivers’ opinions

A road bridge will be built across the Tumannaya River. It will connect Russia and the DPRK with a full-fledged transport artery. Design work has already begun.

The company "TonnelYuzhStroy" was chosen by the Russian government as the contractor. The LLC has the right to attract subcontractors, because the deadlines are strict - until January 31, 2026.

In any case, at least 60% of the volume of construction work must be carried out by specialists from TonnelYuzhStroy. Incidentally, agreements with the government of the DPRK regarding the bridge were reached last summer. At that time, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, made a business state visit to North Korea.

And here is what Russian drivers think about this:

New construction and a tight deadline are good. But I hesitate to ask, why do we need a road bridge to North Korea at all?

– user “eduardshobskyi” starts the conversation

Why? We'll go to resorts. No, seriously, seriously, this country has a lot of things. The nature is amazing - access to the sea, mountain ranges, lakes, and even active volcanoes. I'd go with pleasure.

– user “MetalistBox” joins the conversation

Many may not know, but we already have a bridge with the DPRK - a railway one. In a couple of years, there will be a road bridge. All this will allow us to increase trade turnover. After all, North Korea has enough minerals. Let them supply us with them.

– user “happyred” thinks

We have enough minerals. But it is quite possible to supply them with Russian machine tools and other equipment. No one really wants to trade with the DPRK anyway. It seems that the railway bridge can no longer cope with the volume of transportation.

– sees prospects user “BenKazionov”

Will it really be possible to calmly the car go there and see the local beauty?

– asks the user “kolyakorbut”

I doubt that private transportation will be allowed on this bridge. After all, the DPRK is a closed country.

– user “zirtlon” thinks

I live in Primorsky Krai. So, this project is already 10 years old, as far as I remember, or so. It will give impetus to the development of our transport network. So I am only glad - at least they will make roads.

- Sergey Ivanovich shared information

Perhaps they will build it with our taxpayers' money? Personally, I don't need this bridge for 100 years!

– user “MrAndryha” is indignant

In any case, the development of transport links is good for our country. So I am only happy.

– the user “PastorShlang” ends the conversation.
Do you think we need a road bridge with the DPRK?
