KAMAZ is ready to produce new products – large-scale modernization of plants has been carried out

The KAMAZ plant has completed repairs to production equipment. During the project, about 900 units of equipment were restored and replaced.


The work involved 1070 employees servicing process units. In addition, 398 energy unit specialists were involved in the modernization. The preparation and coordination of the event was carried out by the chief mechanic of KAMAZ.

The project also included replacement of components, transformer substations and distribution points. The final stage was high-voltage testing.


Planning for the event began in late October, and the team began work on December 30.

Repair and modernization activities were carried out at the following KAMAZ plant divisions:

✅ automobile
✅ motor
✅ press-frame
✅ foundry

The aim of the work was to maintain uninterrupted production and improve equipment. The updated capacities will allow increasing the production volumes of both the already familiar trucks, as well as new products that are about to be released.

The modernization of KAMAZ will not stop there, because the next stage of repair activities is already planned for the beginning of May. The date was chosen for a reason, it falls on a series of holidays.

The majority of production line employees will go on corporate leave. This will allow for repair work to be carried out smoothly and safely.
