For those who find the "three" not enough, Suzuki has released a special version of the Jimny

The Japanese company presented a five-door version of the Jimny. The modification received the model index Nomade, and its production was established in India. The latter allowed maintaining a competitive price tag car.


The exterior of the new model generally follows the same lines as the Sierra edition, which Suzuki released in 2018. The differences can be described as minor. In addition, the five-door version is available in additional color schemes, including Sizzling Red Metallic and Celestial Blue Pearl Metallic.

Compared to the base "Jimny", the modification with the Nomade prefix "stretched" by 34 cm. The total length of the SUV is 3,9 m.


Other dimensions are close to the basic modification. The only exception was the KB:

✅ wheelbase - 2,6 m

According to the manufacturer, the car combines the "off-road" advantages of the standard version and at the same time offers more useful space. If we focus on the "numbers", then the capabilities of the enlarged Jimny really "have not suffered".

The clearance remained at 21 cm, and the approach and departure angles are 36 and 47 degrees, respectively. The only change was the ramp angle, which decreased by 3°. Let us recall that this parameter shows the maximum level of the overpass that the car can overcome without touching the bottom of the upper point of the plane break.

In terms of performance, the engineers of the Japanese company have not prepared any intrigue. Under the hood of the Jimny Nomade is the already familiar 103-liter naturally aspirated engine. The power of the unit is 134 hp with a peak torque of XNUMX Nm.

Potential buyers have two transmission options to choose from – five- and four-speed manual and automatic transmissions, respectively. The model has a full, plug-in drive. It is implemented in the “Part-Time 4WD” scheme.


The car will debut in its "homeland" in April of this year. The starting price of the Jimny Nomade is 2,6 million, which is almost 600 thousand yen (1,65 million and 380 thousand rubles, respectively) more expensive than the three-door version of the SUV.

For comparison, dealers bring the standard modification to Russia under the parallel import scheme and sell it for an average of 3,8 million rubles. It is possible that Suzuki prices may soon change for the better. A week ago, the Japanese brand's representative office "hinted" at a possible return to the Russian market in official status.

Let us recall that not long ago the Suzuki press center also reported on the intention to release a fully electric version of Jimny for the European market. Later, the management of the Japanese brand abandoned this idea and the project was canceled. The company has not yet disclosed its current plans for the famous SUV.
