"Zhiguli" with V50 from screwdrivers: the first trip exceeded expectations

An engine made of 50 screwdrivers sounds like science fiction and even madness, but not for the team of the YouTube channel "GARAZH 54". The construction of a unique structure became a large-scale project, for the implementation of which it was necessary to solve a lot of problems. For example, so that the screwdrivers do not fall off during testing car, they had to be secured to reinforced brackets. During the first tests, the car with the improvised V50 confidently drove several meters around the box, but even so, many problems arose: from overheating of contacts to explosion of the cable. Despite this, the car was prepared for going outside.

We remind you that the final torque of the homemade engine, assembled from 50 screwdrivers, was 1056 Nm. This is much more than even many sports cars.
