Haval H5 – an updated Chinese “giant” without competitors

It's hard to find this car a worthy "rival" on the Russian market. For example, the rather popular Tank 300 is inferior in size, and is more expensive. The more "premium" 500th model belongs to a completely different price segment. At the same time, the length and wheelbase of the SUV are shorter than those of the H5 by 30 cm. Among the opponents, we can also recall the Haval H9, but it is inferior for the same reason as the "Tank 300". Of course, there are Japanese, European and American cars, but these will be used examples. If you want to smell a new car not from China, then you will have to prepare for "parallel" schemes, without an official (and sometimes any other) guarantee, as well as a significantly higher price tag.

Ultimately, the search for a truly large new SUV one way or another leads to the Haval H5, regardless of "taste preferences". Under the hood of this car is a two-liter turbo engine. The power of the unit is 200 hp, and it works in tandem with an eight-speed automatic transmission ZF. The all-wheel drive system is designed according to the scheme with a plug-in front axle. The rear, in turn, is equipped with a differential with a lock. On the other hand, the lack of direct competitors is not a reason to ignore the shortcomings of this car.
