KAMAZ trucks receive on-board navigation system
The 2GIS navigation system has been installed in KAMAZ K5 generation trucks. About 150000 vehicles have acquired multimedia system screens with a diagonal of 7, 10 and 15,6 inches, depending on the configuration, on which routes can be plotted and viewed.
From now on, standard displays trucks support the installation of a proprietary navigation application from the corresponding software store. Such useful integration for drivers and companies became possible thanks to the agreement between 2GIS and KAMAZ, the purpose of which was to increase the efficiency and convenience of using the truck Transport.
Developed since 2020, the 2GIS version for trucks offers unique features that are not always available in competitors' applications. For example, drivers can set parameters car, such as weight, dimensions, axle load, which allows you to build routes that take into account restrictions on vehicle movement within the city.

In addition, the navigator warns about the impossibility of driving on road sections and helps to avoid fines by informing in advance about the location of speed cameras, barriers and other objects.
The 2GIS service offers additional options: search for technical maintenance services for trucks, gas stations and other infrastructure facilities that are marked on the map.
The Friends on Map feature, available since 2023, allows logisticians and dispatchers to track the location of trucks in real time and share routes with colleagues. This simplifies the coordination of fleet operations and enables prompt decision-making.

A separate detail that deserves attention is the introduction of personalized cursors. Drivers can choose from 20 proposed options for displaying a car on the map, including unique stylized images of trucks, or upload their own avatar. You can customize the application to your preferences.
Cooperation with 2GIS is only part of KAMAZ's strategy aimed at developing high-tech solutions in its vehicles. For example, in the coming years, the company plans to increase the production of new generation models to tens of thousands of units per year.
