
A 37m² 'multi-sliding' motorhome on wheels is presented
The AI-THd, a collaboration between Pininfarina and AC Future, debuted at CES last year as a render, but now a fully functional prototype of a camper that transforms into a luxury Class A motorhome has been unveiled.
At the same time, on the road it remains a compact and fairly maneuverable van, only 6 meters long.
Since last year, the Californian company Hydra Design Labs has joined the project and the concept has been slightly refined. As a result, the AI Transformer Home Drivable additionally received a retractable rear module with a roof extension.

It moves along the side guides together with the body. When closed, the modular part rests against the front roof panel, providing a solid and smooth surface during movement.
At the same time, the side sliding elements, which also "hide" under the roof of the vehicle, when unfolded form a shallow reservoir. And this seems to be a significant drawback, since precipitation can accumulate in it during parking. It will definitely not be possible to swim in a kind of pool, but such a feature can provoke a leak on the ceiling with a high degree of probability.
As for the interior space of the AI-THd, the manufacturer states that the floor area of the motorhome in the "unfolded" form is about 37 m². The large pull-out module houses a dining area and a recreation area with two folding sofas.

Moreover, unlike other similar models, the dining table and chairs are not attached to the floor, but simply folded and put aside when not needed.
The kitchen has a sink, dishwasher, two-burner cooktop, microwave and a fairly roomy refrigerator for a camper.

There is also a bathroom "on board" the AI-THd. It has a glass shower cabin, a sink and a toilet.
The floor around the entire perimeter of the AI-THd is at the same level, which naturally unites the space. At the same time, the "captain's" chairs do not seem to rotate. But the large front and side windows are almost the entire height car, provide excellent panoramic views.

The manufacturer has not yet disclosed details about the technical characteristics of the model, but the advertising presentation mentions the presence of a 5 kW solar panel on the roof of the motorhome, satellite Internet and a rainwater purification system.
It is also not yet known when the new model will go into production, but there are preliminary plans to release both electric and diesel versions. It is expected that AC Future will first launch a more simplified model, the AI-THu, into mass production. Its release is scheduled for the end of 2026.
