Dismantling a Dnepr-16 motorcycle to build an off-road Ural – but the factories didn’t think of it

Massively heavy opposed motorcycles with sidecars were produced in the USSR by two factories. Although they had one "ancestor", the models differed slightly from each other, both externally and technically. But, since the Soviet Union loved unification, many units could be moved from one motorcycle to another without consequences. Moreover, some units were considered the best in one or another bike, so their owners often changed them. This is exactly what the author of the channel "Sanya Chetodel" did. He has an unclaimed "Dnepr" and "Ural", both in poor condition.

It was decided to make one motorcycle out of two, but a perfect one. And there are also plans to turn it into an SUV with increased cross-country ability. Moreover, suitable for long trips. The Ural was chosen as a base - it is traditionally considered more reliable. But first, you will have to disassemble the Dnepr. It has the necessary units and assemblies. This is the drive to the sidecar wheel and the frame of the latter, the gearbox, part of the pendulum. Difficulties appeared already at this stage. The motorcycle is rusty, the bolts and nuts do not unscrew just like that. You have to generously pour "chemistry" on them. And what happened in the end - you will see for yourself by watching the video to the end.
Do you think this will be a good motorcycle?
