Aston Martin Marketers Decided to “Cut Off” the Roof of the Vantage Model

The famous British car brand presented the Vantage sports car in the form factor of a roadster. The model became a solid continuation of the coupe with improved characteristics.


Under the hood of the Vantage Roadster is a 4-liter petrol unit. The engine is V-shaped and is complemented by a twin-turbo system. The power of the power plant is 656 hp with a peak torque of 800 Nm.

For comparison, the coupe version lags behind in these parameters by 153 "horses" and 115 "newton meters". Aston Martin engineers have achieved an increase in dynamic indicators due to a new turbocharger, as well as modernized camshaft profiles and optimization of the compression ratio in the cylinders.


The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The unit boasts an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.

The Vantage Roadster accelerates to the first "hundred" in just 3,5 seconds. The maximum speed, in turn, is limited to 325 km / h. The owner of the sports car has eight different driving modes to choose from, allowing you to more accurately adjust the traction control, depending on the use scenario.

Salon car boasts an 11-speaker audio system as standard. For music lovers, the British company offers upgraded acoustics from Bowers & Wilkins for an additional fee.

In addition, the basic equipment of the sports car includes the following options:

✅ atmospheric interior lighting
✅ dual zone climate control
✅ Bi-LED headlight

The differences with the coupe version do not end there. Like most "convertibles", the weight of the roadster has increased compared to the "regular" series. The car has become 60 kg heavier.

Despite the change in "balance", the British engineers managed to maintain an almost "jewelry" weight distribution. The ratio between the front and rear axles of this modification of the Vantage is 49 to 51.

The suspension is a traditional design with a double and multi-link system at the front and rear, respectively. Improved carbon-ceramic brakes will stop the car.


The sports car comes with Michelin Pliot Sport S 5 tires. Remarkably, they were developed specifically for this model. They are “shod” on the brand’s 21-inch forged wheel rims.

The Vantage Roadster roof can be opened and closed at speeds up to 50 km/h. The manipulation takes only 6,8 seconds. Thus, AM managed to make the “fastest” electric drive in its class.

The start of sales of the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025. The manufacturer has not yet announced the starting price of the sports car.
