Huawei Unveils World's First Airport Autonomous Parking System

Huawei has made another technological breakthrough by launching the first-of-its-kind autonomous parking system at Bao'an International Airport in Shenzhen, China.

The project, based on the innovative Qiankun ADS 3.0 platform, offers a solution for fast parking that does not create unnecessary difficulties for the driver.

The technology works simply: you leave your car in a special area of the airport, take out your smartphone and launch the proprietary application. It displays all available spaces – the information is updated in real time.

You select a place, and then the Qiankun ADS 3.0 system comes into play. It immediately takes control: the car independently finds and occupies the specified place, giving way to pedestrians and other cars.

If the selected location is occupied, the system searches for a free space located at a minimum distance. You can manually adjust the selection through the application.

When you return to the airport, press the button in the app again, and the car will automatically arrive at the boarding area to meet you.

Huawei's Qiankun ADS 3.0 is said to be the industry's first product that supports parking-space navigation. The solution is powered by the CAS 2.0 Collision Avoidance System, which can eliminate the risk of accidents by providing a XNUMX-degree view of the surrounding area.

An additional feature was the system's compatibility with electric vehicles, which are equipped with digital headlights. Such cars can project a route through the parking lot onto the road surface.

The Qiankun ADS 3.0 system is offered to owners of cars of the HIMA alliance. It includes the brands Aito, Luxeed, Stelato and Maextro. Only owners of cars with pre-installed Qiankun ADS 3.0 will be able to use this function.

The project partners include such well-known manufacturers as Dongfeng, Changan, GAC and others. Qiankun ADS 3.0 supports an economical version for cars without lidars, making it accessible to a wider range of consumers.

The system has already generated significant interest among car manufacturers and users, thereby strengthening Huawei's position as one of the leaders in technological progress.
