Hybrid SUV Chery Fulwin T8 is available for pre-orders – from 1,5 million rubles

Chery has launched a new car on the market car - Fulwin T8 crossover. This is a plug-in hybrid with a huge power reserve. The manufacturer assures that the model with a 100% charged battery and a full gas tank will be able to travel up to 2 thousand kilometers.


Only due to the hybrid nature of Chery Fulwin T8 it was possible to achieve such outstanding indicators. But only on condition that the petrol engines, which are offered here in two versions, will not be connected with the wheel drive. But the model can move in HEV mode.

Preliminary sales of Chery Fulwin T8 started this Saturday. The price of the car starts from 109,9 thousand yuan (1,5 million rubles). When the first owners will receive the ordered cars is not reported.


The crossover is offered in both five- and seven-seater versions. It belongs to the class of mid-size cars. The length, width and height are 4,73 x 1,86 x 1,74 meters, respectively. The manufacturer stated that modern high-strength steel was used in the design of the model. 80% of the body is made of this material.

Petrol engines under the hood of Chery Fulwin T8 are offered in two versions. In the basic configuration there is a naturally aspirated 1,5-liter engine with 101 hp. In the more expensive version, the crossover received the same power unit, but with a turbine. Its power is 154 hp.

The electric engine is the only alternative. It is located on the front axle and produces 201 horsepower. Chery Fulwin T8 is capable of moving both on pure electric traction and only with the help of a gasoline engine.

The running batteries are offered in two versions. Their range is 65 or 130 km. It turns out that during urban operation you don’t even have to use a gasoline ICE. Moreover, the battery can be charged from 30 to 80% in 20 minutes. Naturally, not from a “home” socket, but by connecting to a public station.


The declared fuel consumption is especially pleasing. If the internal combustion engine operates in generator mode, the car will need 1,3 liters of fuel per 100 km.

It should only be understood that for such consumption you need to move along the highway at a speed of no faster than 90 km/h, without sharp acceleration. Otherwise, as practice shows, especially with an aggressive driving style, the consumption can be several times higher. And if you use the full potential of the crossover, that is, two engines, then you may not fit into 10 liters per 100 km.

There is a possibility that Chery Fulwin T8 will appear in Russia. Even if it is not brought officially, parallel import has not been cancelled.
