How KAMAZ Makes New Diesels

KAMAZ-910 – a promising Russian diesel engine for trucks cars, the start of production of which became an important stage in the development of domestic mechanical engineering. In the video on the YouTube channel "MotorProject", the author told and showed how these internal combustion engines are created at the Kama Automobile Plant. The video showed the full production cycle, including the use of CNC machines and robotic assembly - technologies that ensure the accuracy and quality of diesel engine manufacturing. The company paid special attention to the localization of key components, including cylinder heads and control systems.

The increased engine capacity (13 liters instead of 12 in the previous version) and torque of 2400 Nm made it more powerful and economical compared to its predecessors. At the same time, the car plant is actively looking to the future: in 2024, the production of KAMAZ-950 engines began, and right now work is underway to modify the internal combustion engine to meet the Euro-6 standard. The company plans to increase production capacity to 30000 units per year and introduce new car models equipped with localized units.
