Bajaj Pulsar RS200 motorcycle is being launched again
Bajaj has officially announced the debut dates of the revived Pulsar RS200 model. Motorcycle will be shown to the public in the coming days, that is, before mid-January 2025. Almost simultaneously with the debut, the model will go on sale.
For now, the manufacturer is delighting fans with teasers of the bike. Judging by them, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is almost indistinguishable in appearance from the model that was discontinued several years ago. But in technical terms, they promise a number of changes.
Let us recall that Bajaj motorcycles have been officially sold in Russia for about 10 years. We also offered the Pulsar RS200 model. These bikes can still be found on the used market. They are priced from 235 to 280 thousand rubles. They are valued for their reliability, economy and technological advancement. The latter is a rarity in this class and price category.
The revived Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will join the Pulsar lineup. The new bike will retain its sporty and youthful appearance. Judging by the teasers, it will still have the same two-piece headlight.
The dashboard is not shown, but according to rumors, it will retain its design. They only promise that the displays will be brighter and there will be more information on them. There will also be new functions, such as Bluetooth communication and a standard navigation system. Considering that this is an affordable motorcycle, such a set is surprising.
The manufacturer listened to the feedback from Bajaj Pulsar RS200 owners and decided to improve the model in technical terms. Most importantly, it will have a new inverted fork. The rear tire will now be wider from the factory.
The latter should provide the bike with better grip on the road surface. This means that it will be easier to take turns at speed. Although, all this is insignificant for a small-capacity model. After all, 200 cm3 is not enough for a sport bike, and this is the engine that the updated Bajaj Pulsar RS200 received.
The engine was left unchanged, both in terms of cubic capacity and power. The 200-cc power unit still produces 24,16 hp. But the engine is liquid-cooled, which is rare in this cubic capacity. The gearbox of the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will also remain unchanged - it is a 6-speed manual transmission.
The manufacturer hopes that the revived motorcycle will become popular all over the world, including Russia. After all, this model will most likely be brought to us, considering that official dealers offer the entire current Pulsar line.
But we should not forget that the bike was discontinued at the time precisely because of low demand. Despite all the advantages, many customers were disappointed in the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. After all, it looked like an "angry" sports bike, while having a calm character, more inherent in a road model for rural areas.
