Production of the new Ural-80 truck has begun in Russia
The Ural plant, located in the Chelyabinsk region, has launched serial production of a new cargo car "Ural-80", the official name of which is "Ural-43206-67".
Innovative truck combines the reliability of domestic technology and modern engineering solutions. This made it a universal option for various industries, as well as for use in rescue services.
The new Ural-80 truck has a modern turbodiesel engine YaMZ-535. This four-cylinder engine with a working volume of 5,1 liters develops a power of 238 hp and produces up to 900 Nm of torque. The manufacturer claims a service life of up to 1 million kilometers, and this is a great advantage in the context of commercial operation of the truck.
The compactness of the engine allowed the design of the vehicle to be changed: the cabin was moved forward, which freed up more space for the platform and additional superstructures. This modification significantly expands the possibilities of using the vehicle, and also has a very noticeable effect on the driver's comfort.
The total weight of the truck is 12,6 tons, and the load capacity reaches 5,5 tons. "Ural-80" is equipped with a four-wheel drive system, differential locks and a reduction gear. All this makes it an indispensable vehicle for operation in difficult conditions, including off-road, snow drifts and swampy areas.
The truck has already attracted the attention of government agencies. According to plant representatives, preliminary orders for the Ural-80 have been received from the Russian Emergencies Ministry. The vehicle is planned to be used as a chassis for fire trucks. In addition, the vehicle is suitable for transporting passengers, equipment and various machinery.
On the market, the Ural-80 can compete with other all-wheel drive trucks, including domestic models. Among them, the new Sadko 9 stands out, serial production of which is also planned for the near future. However, due to its excellent cross-country ability and technical characteristics, the Ural-80 has every chance of taking the leading position in the near future.
Mass production of the new truck is planned to begin in 2025. The price has not yet been officially announced, so we can only wait for news from the manufacturer.
