Electric Dodge Charger Daytona Could Become a Convertible

Drop Top Customs is a company well known for its conversion expertise. cars, is preparing to announce a new project – a package for transforming the electric Dodge Charger Daytona EV into a convertible. This is a significant event for both fans of the brand and for lovers of electric muscle cars in general.

Drop Top Customs and Dodge have a history of successful collaboration. In 2022, the companies joined forces to create convertibles based on the Challenger. At that time, the project received positive reviews for its quality and attention to detail. The new package for the Charger Daytona EV promises to be no less ambitious.

The company has officially confirmed that its design team is working with Dodge to create an “iconic convertible.” The car will be revealed at the same time as the electric Charger Daytona begins shipping.

The first images have already appeared on social networks. The package turns the car into a two-door liftback with a retractable black roof. Although the quality of the photos leaves much to be desired, it is already clear that the soft top imitates a traditional hardtop.

The price of the new package is still unknown, but a similar project for the Dodge Challenger costs $23999 or 2,53 million rubles at the current exchange rate. This amount includes: an electric roof, heated rear window and a reinforced body structure. The trunk volume had to be reduced, since part of it was occupied by the folding mechanism of the top.

If the Charger Daytona EV follows this pattern, the convertible could become a bargain in the EV market.

The base R/T model, priced from $59595, features a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that produces 6,3 horsepower and 456 Nm of torque. The battery capacity is 547 kWh, which is enough for 100,5 km of travel.

For those looking for a more powerful car, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack is offered. Its engine produces 630 hp and accelerates the car to 100 km/h in 3,3 seconds. However, the power reserve in this modification is less than in the first one – 418 km.

The Charger Daytona EV Convertible promises to be one of the most interesting offerings in the segment electric vehicles. Drop Top Customs and Dodge will once again join forces to create a unique product that will appeal to both classic muscle car fans and connoisseurs of modern technology.
