Express rail laying on China Railways

The rapid development of road construction in China did not just happen. And it is not only the natural diligence of the Chinese that is “to blame” here: innovative technology, which allows for the process to be accelerated, also plays its part. Let us recall: China is one of the world’s three leading powers in terms of the length of its railways. The country is in second place. First place goes to the United States, and third to Russia. Take a look at the video from the Nov On The Road channel: 500 m of rails need to be laid for the railway that will be used by train at a speed of 350 km/h.

Everything is already prepared - concrete sleepers are in place, workers are waiting for the arrival of a special vehicle (a specially designed trolley). It not only lays the rails, but also brings construction materials. The trolley moves very slowly and finally stops at the required section. Here the rails end. The new "iron" is pushed straight ahead, from the platform of the vehicle.

But the rail is not laid on the sleepers: the workers pull it further and insert it into the clamp of the machine standing in front. The technique is incomprehensible: it reminds tractor, but its wheels fit exactly inside and outside the railway track. And there are tracks. The rail is secured and pulled further.
