Mi-8AMT helicopter included in the list of “100 best products of Russia”

The Mi-8AMT is manufactured at the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant. The main feature of the model is its convertible cabin. This makes the helicopter extremely versatile. The members of the competition committee examined the equipment, noting that the Mi-8AMT is the most advanced version of the helicopter. It is reliable, versatile, and meets world standards.


The General Director of the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant thanked the members of the commission, noting that he would convey these words to the enterprise's staff. The director stated that each helicopter is the result of the painstaking work of the employees.

The passenger Mi-8AMT is designed to carry 22 people, not counting the crew. The transport modification is not far behind. Its cabin can accommodate up to 23 people. Of course, they will not be as comfortable as inside the passenger version - they will have to huddle on the folding seats. But it is better to fly badly than to ride or walk well.

If necessary, the Mi-8AMT can lift up to 4 tons of cargo into the air. And it does not matter where exactly it is placed - in the cabin or on an external suspension. Within the above-mentioned weight, cargo and passengers can be combined.

If the Mi-8AMT is prepared for use by doctors, it will be suitable for transporting 12 bedridden patients. And for search and rescue services, the equipment will be supplemented with special equipment.


The Mi-8 is the most widely produced helicopter in Russia. Moreover, the model holds a leading position in the world rankings. The rotary-wing machine is officially recognized as the most widely produced in the history of aviation. This is in its class – among twin-engine helicopters.

The reliability and simplicity of the Mi-8 design can be confirmed by thousands of pilots around the world. Moreover, the range of helicopter application is wide – from -50 to +50 degrees Celsius. This allows it to be used both in deserts and in harsh northern conditions.

The Mi-8 made its first flight back in 1961. Since then, the model has been repeatedly improved.
