Production of new versions of Lada Largus Cross has started

The AVTOVAZ company announced the start of serial production of the new Lada Largus Cross model. This is not a five-seater, but a seven-seater station wagon with increased cross-country ability. Cars are assembled in the same place as the entire Largus line – in Izhevsk.


The new modification of Lada Largus Cross is positioned as the most versatile family car. The model has always been in demand among large families. Not only is it a seven-seater in some modifications, but the station wagon body allows the car to be used for transporting various loads.

New versions of Lada Largus Cross are already being produced on the AVTOVAZ conveyor in Izhevsk. For now, the cars are assembled in the most luxurious trim levels for this model – with full multimedia and in the “Captain” body color. The latter means blue metallic.


It is not yet known what engines the seven-seater Lada Largus Cross will be equipped with. In any case, these are 1,6-liter engines with 90 or 106 hp. Gearboxes are also the only ones available – mechanical five-speed.

And in general, the manufacturer is in no hurry to officially announce the start of production of the new modification. This became known only thanks to the plant workers who photographed the cars during assembly.

It is not yet known how much the seven-seater Lada Largus Cross will cost. But you can focus on the five-seater car in a similar version - the three-row "Largus" will definitely be more expensive. This was last offered for about 1,5 million rubles.

The main difference between the Lada Largus Cross and a regular station wagon is its increased ground clearance. This is important for a long car – it will be able to overcome uneven surfaces more confidently without damaging the bottom.

Another key difference between the Cross modification and the regular Largus is the special body kit on the arches, thresholds and bumpers. It is made of black plastic and protects the most vulnerable parts of the car body from scratches, chips and other damage to the paintwork.


Apparently, the seven-seater Lada Largus Cross will be sold only in the "top" modifications. In addition to multimedia, they will receive a full range of active safety options. Of course, with the caveat that this is a model from AVTOVAZ, not Mercedes.

It is not yet known when exactly the new seven-seater Lada Largus Cross will appear in dealerships. But judging by the fact that serial production is already underway, there is not much time left to wait.

By the way, AVTOVAZ recently reduced the production of one of the most popular models in the line. We are talking about the Lada Vesta, which is now assembled 25% less. The demand was not as high as planned.
