Sales of the updated Russian bus Vector Next 8.8 have started

Plant "Pavlovsky bus", part of the GAZ Group, has launched sales of the updated Vector Next 8.8. This is a commercial model with a body length of 8,8 meters. The bus has been updated both externally and technically.

The most important improvement is the rejection of the outdated rear air spring suspension. Now they put a more modern one instead - fully pneumatic. This has increased the level of comfort. After all, it is no secret that this is important for passenger buses.

But at the same time, the equipment remained passable. It cannot be called off-road, but the high ground clearance and universal tire tread allow Vector Next 8.8 to easily work on routes in the most remote settlements.

Another innovation is the rejection of rear drum brakes. Now they are disc brakes on all wheels. Tests have already proven that such a bus stops much more effectively than the pre-restyling model.

By the way, the disc brakes were taken from trucks series Valdai 12. This is what allowed us to modernize Vector Next 8.8 so quickly. According to the manufacturer, the system, although more modern, is easier to maintain. After all, to replace the pads, you do not need to remove the brake disc itself.

The buses are offered in several modifications. They differ in the number of seats and interior trim. The most universal versions can accommodate up to 71 passengers in their "belly".

Unlike older suburban buses, Vector Next 8.8 has a lower floor level in the rear part of the cabin. This makes boarding easier for elderly and overweight passengers. Plus, the doors are wide – there is the possibility of moving in two rows at once in the back.

The bus has a storage platform at the front. There are also places for wheelchair-bound passengers. Moreover, they didn’t forget about the ramp, which makes it easier for disabled people to enter and exit.

The Vector Next 8.8 has two engines to choose from. The first power unit is a diesel with a capacity of 169 hp. The engine is simple and reliable, time-tested - YaMZ-534.

For those who prefer to save on gas, if this is possible with the existing infrastructure, we offer the gas Vector Next 8.8. This bus is equipped with a YaMZ-535 engine. This power unit produces 170 hp and runs on methane. The range of the modification with a full tank is up to 600 kilometers.

The cost of the updated buses starts from 5,3 million rubles.
