Checkmate, Gazelle – KAMAZ Compass trucks have become much cheaper

The KAMAZ plant announced an unprecedented promotion – huge discounts on purchases trucks "Compass" line. If you use all the programs, you can save up to 1,77 million rubles.


This marketing move is aimed primarily at combating the main competitor – the Gorky Automobile Plant. They plan to lure away customers who were initially targeting Gazelles and Gazons.

There is just one nuance - not all Russian buyers are ready to give up GAZ trucks in favor of "Kompas" from KAMAZ. After all, Gorky cars domestic, which is why they are valued. But the models from Naberezhnye Chelny, although considered Russian, are assembled from Chinese cars.


But let's get back to discounts, because they are, as practice has shown, a priority for domestic buyers of trucks. The "youngest" model, "Compass 5", can be bought for a million rubles cheaper if you pay in cash. This is a discount from the manufacturer - KAMAZ, which clearly needs "live" money.

Another 500 thousand can be saved if you use a special state leasing program. And the last discount is to hand over your old truck for trade-in. For this, they promise to knock off another 200 thousand rubles.

However, the last point needs to be sorted out. Before taking advantage of the offer, it is worth finding out how much you can sell the truck for yourself. Dealers usually offer less than the average market price. But you need to proceed from each specific situation.

More expensive cars of the Compass series, with indexes 9 and 12, also fell under the discount program. If you pay for them in cash, you will save 1,07 million rubles. Otherwise, the advantages are the same as with Compass 5. That is, you can count on discounts on state leasing and handing over an old car for trade-in.

And that's not all. Buyers of KAMAZ Compass trucks will receive three free maintenance services as an incentive. The only condition is not to "fly off" the warranty.


Let us recall that the new series of light and medium-duty trucks "Compass" is assembled at the "Trucks Vostok Rus" plant. These are licensed copies of JAC models - that's what the manufacturer calls them.

In fact, these are "purebred" Chinese trucks, simply modified for Russia and with different nameplates. In the future, they plan to localize them, but when exactly this will happen is hard to say.

However, JAC buyers in Russia do not complain about them much. So while the discounts are valid, KAMAZ expects to seriously "push" the Gorky Automobile Plant.
