Moskvich-407 coupe - there was such a car in the USSR
Moskvich brand cars are a legend of the Soviet automotive industry. Already in the 1980s, the most desirable of the available cars in the USSR were Zhiguli, but AZLK models were also in demand.
It couldn't be otherwise. In the Soviet Union, even Zaporozhets could not be bought just like that - they had to stand in line for years.
At the same time, outwardly cars Moskvich brands were superior to other Soviet models of that time.
Do you know that the MZMA / AZLK design bureau periodically produced interesting specimens that did not go into series? For example, Moskvich-407 coupe is one of such cars. Two similar models were produced at MZMA specifically for athletes participating in circuit and road races.
