Updated versions of Skoda models – Fabia, Kamiq and Scala – presented

The Skoda brand has officially unveiled new modifications of its popular cars. We are talking about the hatchbacks Fabia, Scala and the compact crossover Kamiq. All the presented cars will receive additional options costing about 1,9 thousand British pounds (225 rubles).


Interestingly, buyers will have to pay only 8% of this amount. In this way, the manufacturer will try to increase sales of its models, primarily in the UK. All updated cars will receive the prefix "Edition" in their name.

Pre-orders will start on September 19, that is, in a few days. Prices are already known. For example, Skoda Fabia in the basic SE Edition configuration will cost 19,88 thousand pounds (2,35 million rubles).


New additional options include full dual-zone climate control, cruise control, keyless start and all four electric windows. Not that it's very impressive, but before the update the "base" didn't have even that.

The more expensive version of the Skoda Fabia, called Design Edition, will receive an improved body paintwork - in metallic shades. Additionally, the car will have adaptive headlights that illuminate the roadside in turns, rain sensors and folding side mirrors with an electric drive.

The third modification of Skoda Fabia in the line, called SE L Edition, will receive a built-in rear-view camera with image output to the head monitor. As for the "top" Monte Carlo Edition, it will also have front parking sensors, an enlarged multimedia system screen, built-in navigation with voice control.

Skoda Kamiq and Scala will be offered in three Edition modifications. The crossover will cost at least 24,19 thousand pounds (2,87 million rubles). The Scala hatchback will be cheaper. The cost of this updated car starts at 22,25 thousand pounds (2,63 million rubles).

In the SE Edition, both models will receive a new digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen multimedia system. Voice-controlled navigation is included in this modification, as is a rear-view camera.


In the SE L Edition version, the crossover and hatchback will receive front parking sensors. It will be possible to choose from several engine operating modes - from economical to sporty.

In the "top" version, called Monte Carlo Edition, Skoda Kamiq and Scala will receive a heated sports steering wheel and front seats with developed lateral support.

The manufacturer does not report what engines will be under the hoods of the cars. Most likely, all the same as before - from 1,0 to 1,6 liters. Power - from 95 to 150 hp.
