Dongfeng Mage presented in Belarus – it is a competitor of Geely Atlas, but cheaper

Dongfeng has officially presented the Mage crossover in Belarus. car will be offered in petrol and hybrid versions. Power – 200 and 292 hp respectively.


Prices have also been announced. The Dongfeng Mage in the basic configuration will cost 87 Belarusian rubles (200 million Russian rubles). The cost of more expensive versions was promised to be announced later. The price of the hybrid in the basic configuration is also known. They want 2,49 Belarusian rubles (105 million Russian rubles) for it.

By the way, the main competitor of the new crossover in Belarus is Geely Atlas. But this car is offered only in a petrol version, there are no hybrids. And it costs 15 percent more.


Dongfeng Mage is a mid-size crossover. Its length, width and height are 4,65 x 1,9 x 2,77 meters. Ground clearance is not bad - 202 mm. The drive, regardless of the modification and type of internal combustion engine, is only front.

Petrol versions of Dongfeng Mage are equipped with turbocharged engines with a volume of 1,5 liters. Their power is 200 hp. The manufacturer claims that this power unit was developed in close cooperation with the Japanese brand Honda. A robotic seven-speed gearbox works together with the engine.

The dynamics of the crossover for its price are not bad. Dongfeng Mage accelerates to the first "hundred" in 8,5 seconds. We are talking about the turbo-petrol version of the model.

The hybrid crossover is more powerful. Its power plant produces an impressive 292 hp. The car accelerates, accordingly, faster than its turbo-petrol "brother" - in 6 seconds to 100 km/h.

Even in the base Dongfeng Mage will be richly equipped. Panoramic sunroof, climate control, front seats with memory and heating - this is not a complete list of options. They even promise an autonomous driving system of class L2.


The manufacturer has specially modified the car for the Belarusian (and Russian, respectively) market. The front wings and doors are made of double-sided galvanized steel. And the entire body is completely immersed in a bath with zinc phosphate solution during assembly.

After this procedure, the car is covered with a primer in several layers, then painted with a base and separately with varnish. In general, in theory, the crossover is well prepared for use in the middle lane.

It should be noted that the Belarusian market was the debut for Dongfeng Mage. It is possible that it will appear in Russia later, and officially.
