The most powerful engine in history is ready for production
The head of the united engine-building enterprise Energomash, Mr. Arbuzov, told TASSthat everything is ready to launch mass production of the RD-171MV rocket engine. The power unit intended for the Soyuz-5 spacecraft is currently successfully completing a cycle of ground tests. Next year it is planned to conduct interdepartmental tests of the motor.
The company has reportedly already provided a couple of flight samples, with a third on the way – expected by the end of the year. So, according to Igor Arbuzov, as soon as an order for this heavy-duty liquid engine is received, the company is ready to implement it.

Let us remind you that the Tsar Engine has a mass of 10 kg and demonstrates a thrust of more than 300 tons. Designed for operation on medium and super-heavy class launch vehicles - Soyuz-800 and Yenisei, respectively. At the same time, flight tests of the first, according to the scheduled dates, should begin this year.
