AvtoVAZ suspended deliveries of Lada Largus

A spokesman for the Russian car factory said the company would not disclose details about the schedule under which the cars are delivered to showrooms for sale, and assured readers that the company is working in full accordance with the plan. What is really known is that AvtoVAZ is experiencing a serious shortage of electronic components for ABS and dynamic stabilization systems. It is easy to guess that the shortage is caused by the global semiconductor crisis, even the approximate end date of which is currently very vague. Starting from the second half of 2021, the Volzhsky Automobile Plant repeatedly stopped the operation of conveyors due to an acute shortage of parts for electricians.

Regular downtime of the plant is reflected in the volume of production of Lada Granta cars, and this is a bestseller in Russia. The lack of semiconductors also affected the number of produced Lada Niva Legend SUVs, the conveyors with which also stopped more than once. Let's hope that the supply situation will be resolved in the very near future, because the shortage of cars on the market will sooner or later lead to an even greater increase in their prices.
