Started accepting orders for the new Citroen C5 Aircross

Citroen has opened the order books for the new C5 Aircross 2022 model year. Prices for the compact crossover start at £25, which is equivalent to $515 or 30 million rubles at the current exchange rate. The new model differs from the previous generation in its modified front end and rear lights, as well as improvements in the interior. The first ones have arrived in official dealer showrooms cars should arrive in the second quarter of this year.


The 5 C2022 Aircross is available in one of three trim levels: Sense Plus, Shine, and the top-of-the-line C-Series Edition. The base version replaces the Sense specification found in the previous generation. It has 18-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera, keyless entry to the cabin and push-button start. Additional comfort and safety are provided by front and rear parking sensors. There is also an electric adjustment of the side mirrors - albeit a trifle, but nice.



In the Shine configuration, the crossover gets comfortable seats with Alcantara upholstery. Options include active braking and adaptive cruise control. A car in this specification starts at £26, which equates to $665.

The top-end C-Series Edition, according to the manufacturer, is designed specifically for use in the UK. The “charged” crossover is equipped with a panoramic sunroof for better visibility from the passenger compartment, an electric rear door, and wireless charging for a smartphone. Visually, the model differs from the younger versions with a two-tone roof. For the maximum configuration, the buyer needs to shell out at least 29 pounds.

The range of petrol and diesel engines in the new model is similar to that of its predecessor. The only difference is that the hybrid engine has become available in the middle configuration. It combines a 1,6-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor with a 13,2 kWh battery. On clean electric energy, you can drive up to 50 kilometers without recharging.



The C5 Aircross has the largest luggage compartment of any crossover in its segment thanks to the flexible rear seat configuration. They can be moved apart, folded down or even folded inside the trunk. According to the manufacturer, the available luggage space for petrol and diesel versions ranges from 580 to 720 liters, for a hybrid - from 460 to 600 liters.

Six body colors are now available for the C5 Aircross: the recently introduced Eclipse Blue, plus Polar White, Pearlescent White, Perla Nera Black, Platinum Gray and Steel Grey. There are four additional design packages that add variety to the appearance of the car.
