Lincoln plans to release at least 5 electric vehicles

The latest report from Lincoln has revealed that the American brand plans to release at least 2026 electric SUVs by 5. A serious commitment to switching to EV-cars It became known back in 2021, when Ford Motor Company officially announced that it would invest $30 billion in electrifying the entire Lincoln lineup.

The American brand will launch its first all-electric car this year. A little more than six months ago, the company published a short teaser, in which a full-width front lighting element was presented. The pioneer will be the Aviator model, which is also featured in a recent report. We remind you that this car is currently a luxury crossover, which has been successfully produced since 2019.

In addition to the large Aviator, Lincoln plans to put more compact cars on electric traction. The report says they will be based on the Ford Mustang Mach-E platform. If in the case of the EV crossover, at least approximate production dates are known, then the manufacturer is still silent about the exact release time of its smaller “brothers”. So far, we can say that the new items will replace the current Corsair and Nautilus models, and it will not be possible to see them until 2025.

Lincoln's lineup of American electric cars will be led by the current flagship Navigator. It is scheduled to go into production in 2026, which means it will close the chain of the company's new EV products by release date. The SUV will be built on the same platform as the Ford F-150 Lightning.

While Lincoln may be a bit late in announcing its electrification plans, the rumored production dates above aren’t that far behind the competition. Luxury brands across the industry are at various stages of converting their fleets to electric power, with Mercedes and other major automakers leading the way. A Lincoln spokesman said he wouldn’t discuss details of future vehicles.

We'll take a look at Lincoln's efforts to create electric vehicles later this year, with the company unveiling its first EV car in December. Details about the new offering remain scarce, but the teaser image shows that the car's design will likely see some major changes compared to what the gasoline-powered models look like today.
