Opel cut prices on several models - only in England so far

Opel has announced price cuts for several models. After the update, they became less luxurious in the cabin, but this had a positive effect on the cost.


We are talking about the UK market, where Opel is traditionally sold with "right" steering wheel under the Vauxhall brand. In order to attract customers who are now looking at electric cars, the manufacturer has reduced the cost of its cars for a tidy sum of up to 245 rubles in Russian currency!

At the same time, security options for all proposed models have become larger. What exactly was saved in the interior trim is not reported. In any case, this is irrelevant for a new car. But in five years, when the plastic is covered with scuffs, and the upholstery on the seats loses its appearance, the savings will appear.



Three Vauxhall models - Insignia, Crossland and Grandland are now offered in two or three versions. These are the basic Design, the average GS Line and the top Ultimate. All of them cost less than cars before completion.

For example, in the basic Design version, the Crossland compact crossover model has become cheaper by more than 200 rubles and is offered in England for 000 million. Options such as emergency braking, a head-on collision warning system and an alert about leaving your car have been added. stripes.

Even Crossland buyers already in the base can count on R16 alloy wheels and a 7-inch multimedia system screen.

The larger Grandland crossover did not fall in price so much - only 63 rubles. Sales of this model in Europe are already going well.
The car received the same additions in the base modification as the Vauxhall Crossland, only alloy wheels here are R17, plus a full-fledged dual-zone climate control has been added.

The most expensive model of the three is the Insignia. To increase sales, the manufacturer abandoned the top version of Ultimate. The car already costs more than 3,13 million rubles in the database.



Additions are the same as those of the Crossland and Grandland models, only R18 alloy wheels, and the multimedia complex has an 8-inch screen.

Whether such measures will be able to increase demand for Opel cars in the UK, only time will tell. Most likely, there will be a short-term effect - against the backdrop of a general price increase policy supported by various brands.

But the era of models with traditional internal combustion engines is coming to an end, at least in Western Europe. Although the common people are in the majority against it, state policy is aimed precisely at the development of electric cars and infrastructure for them.

As for Opel prices in the Russian Federation, it may turn out that new cars are underestimated. And spring price growth cannot be avoided. Although it would be nice to see a reverse trend, and not only in this brand.
